Artist's Description

I was so moved today (3/11/11) by seeing news videos of one of planet earth's worst earthquakes ever recorded in modern times that I decided to greatly modify a previously done work which seemed so orderly and geometric (i.e., symbolizing Japan and its highly ordered society) and proceeded to digitally "ravage" this "order" with paint strokes suggesting an earth quake and tsunami movements. Even the quake and tsunami broad-brush strokes/suggestions are somewhat ordered to symbolize a natural disaster peculiar to Japan
